Hey everyone! I’ve got a super fun story to share from a recent beach photoshoot that had all the vibes you could imagine. Picture this: a stunning Virginia Beach sunset, a couple who just simply radiated joy, and their two dogs running through the waves. If you’re a fan of carefree, candid beach photoshoots, you’re going to love this!
Carly and Carlos told me "we trust you and we are down for anything. We have no inspo and we just want to be us!" & that might have been the best thing I've ever heard. Add in their two beautiful dogs, Jolene and Koda, and you have a recipe for epic photos.
The whole session with these guys felt effortless—a perfect blend of love, laughter, and simplicity. They flowed through prompts, adding their own movement and making the photos "them." I basically stood back and watched them just be with each other.
We ended up with the most perfect Virginia Beach sunset. Blues, pinks, purples, all washed in an orange glow from the sun. I dub this the perfect "golden blue hour." And you know what tops off the perfect lighting? A good low tide. If you've followed me for a while, you know low tide is key for my signature reflection shots. *chefs kiss*
Now, let’s talk about the real stars of the shoot—Jolene and Kona, aka the dogs. They brought the energy in the best way. These two furballs were like little whirlwinds, stopping every once in a while for a good lick to the face when their humans weren't expecting it.
