Comparing digital and film with yorktown, virginia maternity photos
If you’ve been following along with my work, you already know I’ve been deep in my film photography era this past year. After spending years mastering digital cameras (mildly because there’s always more to learn), I was ready for a new challenge. Film felt like the next hard thing, and let me tell you… I am obsessed. I am a true perfectionist, so learning film has been this fun but hard rabbit hole that I’m all too happy to dive into for my Virginia Beach and Hampton Roads families.
This Yorktown maternity session ended up being the perfect side-by-side comparison of digital vs. film!! I already edit my digital work to lean film-like, but the similarities from this session were TOO good. I’m not kidding, some of these frames are hard to tell. I put together a few slides to show you guys exactly what I mean and how both formats can tell your story so beautifully, whether you’re in Virginia Beach, Yorktown, or anywhere along coastal Virginia.
